Our Spa Experience:

While at the spa I enjoyed a Swedish massage with a masseuse named “Kim” who was wonderful. She was professional and skilled. It was one of the best massages I have had in a long time. Because the spa atmosphere was so conducive to relaxation, I was able to fully relax and escape the rest of the world for awhile.

Hotel Review

The Ritz Carlton Hotel, Half Moon Bay, California has incomparable service. This service begins from the minute you arrive at the hotel gates. The staff is pleasant and professional, always greeting you with a smile. The rooms are spacious with a beautiful view of either the ocean or the golf areas.

The hotel is built on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean providing breathtaking views from many places in the hotel.

The golf course was also designed to take advantage of the sweeping views of the ocean. Many of the golf holes are along the cliffs overlooking the crashing waves.
The hotel is newly built with a feeling of freshness and openness yet keeps traditional touches that makes it a grand hotel.

Our experience:

We had dinner at “Novio”, one of the premier Ritz restaurants. We chose to dine at sunset to take full advantage of the beautiful sunset. We enjoyed a view of the ocean while enjoying our exquisitely prepared dinners of lobster and halibut. There were many excellent wines to choose from including dessert wines which is a special treat. For dessert we enjoyed the chocolate cake which was heavenly!
The excellent service continued as our server tended to few guests and was always there just as we needed her.

Dinner Alternatives:

A picnic on the cliffs at sunset is another romantic way to spend time together at the Ritz. This terrific picnic spot is located on the hotel property, footsteps from the hotel courtyard and available to all guests for their viewing pleasure.

Evening Activities:

You can stroll along the coast viewing the crashing waves and the gorgeous sweeping ocean view. There are many benches along the way where you can stop and have your own private “View Point.”

The hotel courtyard along the cliffs can be a relaxing place to read a book and enjoy the company of your family and friends. A jacuzzi is nearby for your bubbly pleasure after a hard day of golf.

There is live entertainment in the hotel lounges in the evening after your day of golf and spa activities.

Other activities:
Weddings are also performed on the grounds overlooking the ocean with a gazebo in place for the outdoor wedding of your dreams.
